Hope Technology

Hope Technology is a British manufacturer of bicycle components based in Barnoldswick, Lancashire. It was founded in the late 1980s by Ian Weatherill and Simon Sharp, two engineers from the aerospace industry, and began by producing disc brakes for mountain bikes at a time when the technology was still uncommon. Almost all its parts are machined in-house from aluminium billet and anodised on site; the catalogue covers hydraulic brakes, hubs, bottom brackets, headsets, stems and lights, alongside occasional projects such as the HB.T track bicycle developed with Lotus Engineering and British Cycling.
