Lightweight
Lightweight is a cult German maker of ultralight carbon wheels, hand-built by parent company Carbonsports GmbH. Founded by toolmakers Heinz Obermayer and Rudolf Dierl, it pioneered the structural carbon spoke, moulded and bonded directly into the rim rather than tensioned in steel, with each wheel taking around 20 hours to build. Its flagship Meilenstein has carried riders to the very top of the sport.
