Sapim
Sapim is a Belgian manufacturer of bicycle spokes and nipples, founded in Antwerp in 1918; the name is an acronym of Société Anonyme pour l'Industrie des Métaux. The company is still headquartered on the outskirts of Antwerp and supplies wheelbuilders and wheel manufacturers worldwide. Its catalogue includes the butted Laser, Race, D-Light and Strong spokes, the bladed CX-Ray, and the Polyax nipples, whose rounded head lets the spoke align itself with the angle of the rim hole.
