Mid-drive motor from Bafang's M series, launched in April 2022 as the successor to the M500 'Max Drive'. Magnesium housing bringing the unit down to 2.9 kg (−18% compared with the previous generation), maximum torque of 110 Nm (announced at 95 Nm at launch), 250 W nominal, torque sensor and assistance up to a cadence of 120 rpm. Designed for electric mountain bikes, it also powers many trekking and sporty urban e-bikes; it uses the same motor mount as the M500 and M410.
