C-Record Headset

The C-Record headset is the aluminium-alloy 1-inch threaded headset of Campagnolo flagship C-Record (Corsa Record) group. Prototyped in 1984-1985, the first production generation was issued from 1986 to 1991, distinguished from the prototype mainly by the removal of the small wrench flats on the top cup and by its drilled cup flange. It keeps the traditional threaded cup-and-cone architecture with caged ball races and a 26.4 mm crown race, but in a lighter alloy body with the smooth sculpted C-Record styling. It was offered in both English/BSA (1 inch x 24 tpi, part 304/104) and Italian (25.4 mm x 24 tpi, HS-11RE) threadings for late-1980s high-end road frames.
