Valentino
Brand: Campagnolo
Entry-level Campagnolo rear derailleur from the mid-1960s (approximate dates). Conceived as Campagnolo's budget 'junior' range, legend has it that Tullio Campagnolo named it after his 14-year-old son, Valentino. Built from pressed steel with no castings: sturdy and nicely finished, but heavy and somewhat dated for its time. Friction (non-indexed) operation, typical of the 5-speed freewheel era. It set the tone for Campagnolo's cheapest range for nearly two decades.
