The Criterium (model 65) is an aluminium road handlebar from Cinelli's classic range. Its “criterium” bend is more compact and shallower than the other Cinelli bars of the period, such as the Giro d'Italia or the Campione del Mondo: originally designed for criterium racing, it frees up more room for the wrists, which also makes it a popular choice for the track, its shape recalling that of track bars without their depth. Like most pre-1995 Cinelli bars, it uses the brand's own 26.4 mm clamp diameter, compatible with forged Cinelli 1A stems. It was offered notably in 40, 42 and 44 cm widths, measured centre to centre.
