Brand: Crankbrothers

The Kronolog was Crankbrothers' cable-actuated dropper post, launched in spring 2012 in a single version with 125 mm of travel and two diameters, 30.9 and 31.6 mm, at 300 USD / 300 EUR. Instead of a hydraulic lock, it held saddle height with a mechanical clamping plate actuated by a standard derailleur cable and an externally routed handlebar lever, allowing infinite adjustment; travel could be reduced internally with spacers. Crankbrothers claimed 465 g for the 30.9 mm post (477 g in 31.6 mm) plus 28 g for the remote, on a 405 mm aluminium post. Tests published a few months after launch reported premature wear of the outer tube and the clamping plate.
