The Oro K18 is the entry-level model in the Oro hydraulic disc brake family from Italian manufacturer Formula, tested by BikeRadar in 2008. It pairs the Oro flip-flop master cylinder, which uses a patented in-line open reservoir and a removable two-bolt clamp, with a two-piece vented caliper using two opposed 22 mm pistons and semi-metallic pads. BikeRadar praised it as a very light unit, even by cross-country standards, with leading feel and power. Formula's Oro user manual specifies DOT 4 fluid for the family.
