The Huret Duopar was a rear derailleur introduced in 1975, using a unique double-parallelogram linkage in which a secondary pivot let the pulley cage float up and down to keep a tight chain gap across very wide-range freewheels. Aimed at cyclotourists needing exceptionally wide gearing, it was praised by testers of the era, including Bicycling magazine's Frank Berto, as the best-shifting touring derailleur available, despite its exotic construction and reputation for wearing quickly.
