Tempo 1 was the recreational tubular of Hutchinson's road range, the least expensive of the brand's glue-on tyres. It was listed in one size only, 700x22 on a 622 mm rim, on a 220 TPI casing with a butyl inner tube sewn inside and a single-compound tread, for a claimed 305 g. That weight and the butyl tube placed it below the Reflex and well below the latex-tubed Pro Tour, in a role closer to club riding and training wheels than to competition. It disappeared from the catalogue around 2020.
