Brand: Idéale

The Idéale 90 Spéciale Compétition is a full-leather racing saddle designed in the early 1960s by the Parisian manufacturer Idéale, founded in 1890. It was used by the Peugeot cycling team, notably for Roger Pingeon's podium finish at the 1967 Tour de France, and was offered with steel, alloy or titanium rails. Considered the French equivalent of the Brooks Professional, from 1969 it featured leather “hand broken in according to D. Rebour”.
