Industry Nine's Classic road and cyclocross disc hubs were launched at Eurobike on 31 August 2013 as a J-bend spoke alternative to Industry Nine's System wheels, in which machined aluminium spokes thread directly into the hub shell. Sold by dealers as the “Torch Classic Disc CX/Road”, they combine the Torch freehub body with a conventional hub shell with angled flanges and use a three-pawl mechanism offering 60 points and 6 degrees of engagement, versus six pawls and 120 points on the Torch mountain bike hubs. The disc versions weighed 120 g at the front and 238 g at the rear and were introduced at 575 USD per pair. Rear hubs were offered in 135 mm quick release, 10x135 mm and 12x142 mm, with Shimano HG 9/10/11-speed or Campagnolo freehub bodies, and both six-bolt and Center Lock rotor mounts were available.
