The steel generation of Kona's Sutra touring bike, catalogued from 2011 to 2013 in five sizes from C49 to C61. The in-house butted cromoly frame comes with Avid BB7 Road mechanical disc brakes, front and rear racks and mudguards as standard. Its long geometry — a 1,048 mm wheelbase and 440 mm chainstays in C56 — aims at stability under load rather than liveliness. The next Sutra, from 2014, starts again from a completely redrawn frame with shorter chainstays.
