Cross-country fork from the 2000 model year, the middle rung of the MARS (Manitou Air Response System) line between the magnesium MARS and the MARS CL. The C stands for carbon: a three-piece carbon arch on magnesium lowers, 28.6 mm aluminium stanchions and an aluminium steerer with a carbon insert, for 80 mm of travel and a quoted 1,317 g. The spring combines air and an MCU elastomer in the left leg, while the twin-piston TPC damper sits in the right leg with a compression dial on the crown and a rebound dial at the bottom of the slider. Boots are fitted as standard and the Anti-Bob lockout stays an option, standard only on the MARS CL.
