Introduced in 1997 alongside the Z1, the Bomber Z2 carried over its 30 mm-stanchion chassis in a cross-country version with 65 mm of travel, with a coil spring in each leg and a hydraulic cartridge in the right leg. More affordable than the Z1, it brought Bomber reliability and smoothness to a wider audience and was offered in several versions until 1999 (Alloy, Atom Bomb, BAM, Superfly).
