The Lambda is MKS's large touring platform, co-developed with Rivendell Bicycle Works, which sells it as the 'Grip King': it is THE Rivendell pedal, conceived by Grant Petersen for riding in street shoes, without cleats or aggressive pins. Its huge cast aluminium body of 119 x 78 mm with a rippled profile provides a generous, grippy footing on both sides, on adjustable cup-and-cone bearings and a 9/16" chromoly axle. Introduced in the 2000s and still in the catalogue, it weighs 420 g per pair including reflectors: an anti-clipless manifesto that has become a cult item among randonneurs and urban cyclists.
