The Neo-Retro is Paul Component Engineering's wide-profile cantilever, its geometry taken from the Mafac Tandem. The long, widely spaced 6061 aluminium arms have a T-shaped cross section for stiffness and give plenty of leverage and mud clearance; the pivots run on stainless bushings behind rubber seals and spring tension is adjustable on both sides. It mounts on cantilever posts, weighs 100 g per wheel and needs short-pull levers. Paul often points riders on small frames or loaded with panniers towards the narrower Touring Canti instead.
