Touring Cantilever

Brand: Paul Component Engineering

The Touring Canti shares the Neo-Retro's design but angles its arms upward, giving a much narrower low-profile shape without losing much stopping power. Paul points to that narrowness for bikes carrying panniers or where heel and calf clearance is tight, which is why a Neo-Retro up front and a Touring Canti at the rear is a common pairing. The 6061 aluminium arms use the same T-shaped section, sealed pivots on stainless bushings and two-sided spring tension adjustment: 123 g per wheel, on cantilever posts, with short-pull levers. Paul advises a low straddle wire, with the cable carrier 1 to 2 inches above the tyre.
