SID World Cup (2008)

Brand: RockShox

The SID World Cup was the top model in RockShox's family of lightest cross-country forks, above the SID Team and SID Race. For 2008, the SID abandoned its long-standing 28 mm chassis: SRAM's history page devoted to the SID states that the 2008 model moved to 32 mm stanchions, offering markedly better stiffness, and the lowers received a carbon Power Bulge around the post mount. In this form, the World Cup offers adjustable travel of 80 or 100 mm on a Dual Air spring and a BlackBox Motion Control cartridge with external rebound adjustment, low-speed compression up to lockout and an external Floodgate, for a claimed weight of 1465 g. SRAM's 2010 spare parts catalogue groups this 32 mm SID Team / World Cup with BlackBox Motion Control in the 2008-2010 generation, distinct from the 28 mm SID Motion Control of 2003-2008 and from the SID XX introduced for 2010.
