Brand: Selle San Marco

The Aero is a racing saddle made in Italy by Selle San Marco and built around a patented arrowhead-shaped central cut-out, covered by US patent 4,898,422 whose number is moulded into the rear tail of the saddle. It has a leather cover over a nylon shell, chromoly rails and a two-component GelAround gel added to the padding in the support areas, as well as a rear wing that protects the back of the saddle. Trade catalogue data list a width of 148 mm, a length of 280 mm and a weight of 280 g, and describe it as a unisex racing model. A new boxed example made in December 1999 is listed at 150 mm wide, 280 mm long and 290 g.
