Cyclocross cantilever brake from the CX50 series, the more affordable version of the BR-CX70 introduced by Shimano in 2011. Same low, open shape for mud clearance and shouldering, but with a non-cartridge R50T2 road pad and a silver finish. Shimano classes it as a New Super SLR brake: it runs on short pull, with road levers or flat-bar levers set to the C/R position. The claimed weight is 175 g for the front and rear pair.
