Cantilever brake from the CX70 cyclocross group released by Shimano in 2011. Its open, low-profile shape sheds mud and keeps the shoulder clear when carrying the bike. Shimano specifies it for New Super SLR levers, so short pull: ST-7900, ST-6700, ST-5700 and ST-4600. It uses a road-style cartridge shoe holder with R55C+1 pads plus tyre guide bumpers, for a claimed 165 g per pair.
