The EW-EN100, also known as Junction A, is the minimalist LED indicator of the Shimano STEPS system. Rather than a display, it is limited to two LEDs that show the assistance mode, the battery charge level and error messages, for an uncluttered cockpit. Settings and personalisation go through the E-TUBE app, the unit communicating over Bluetooth LE and ANT+ thanks to D-Fly technology. It has two E-Tube ports and is fitted in line on the handlebar, along the brake or gear housings. Compatible with the STEPS E5000, E6100, E7000 and E8000 drive units, it weighs only around 6 grams.
