STEPS SC-E8000

The SC-E8000 display is the console of the Shimano STEPS system for electric mountain and trekking bikes, introduced in 2017. It is a small, low-bulk monochrome LCD screen mounted in the centre of the handlebar, showing the assistance mode, the remaining range, speed and the gear engaged. Wireless communication uses Bluetooth LE and private ANT, allowing the modes to be customised through the E-TUBE app. Designed for off-road use, it keeps the cockpit uncluttered thanks to its compact format. It weighs about 40 grams.
