The SC-EM800 display is the colour console of the Shimano STEPS EP8 system, launched in 2020 for recent electric mountain bikes and e-bikes. Its 1.6-inch colour LCD stays readable in bright sunlight and shows speed, remaining range, cadence and the gear engaged. It clamps to 31.8 or 35 mm handlebars in a minimalist format tucked close to the stem. Bluetooth LE and ANT connectivity allows tracking and configuration through the E-TUBE app. It weighs about 41 grams.
