XTR BL-M975

The BL-M975 is the standalone hydraulic brake lever of Shimano's XTR M970 group, listed in the XTR series under the Disc brake (ATB) chapter of the 2007 and 2008 Shimano specification manuals. It runs on Shimano mineral oil and is paired by the manual with the BR-M975 and BR-M975P calipers as well as the SM-BH59 hose, a combination still present in the 2010 manual. Unlike the integrated ST-M975 lever listed alongside it, the BL-M975 has no derailleur mechanism; Shimano rates its lever size at 1.5 fingers. The lever blade and the mounting bracket are both aluminium, anodised and painted respectively.
