The Chisel is Specialized's aluminium cross-country hardtail, reputed to be one of the lightest alloy frames on the market (around 1350 g). It uses M5 Premium aluminium combined with D'Aluisio Smartweld welding technology, which optimises the distribution of material at the junctions to gain stiffness and save weight - delivering performance close to carbon at a fraction of the price. Modern XC geometry (size L: 455 mm reach, 619 mm stack, 68-degree head angle, 74-degree seat angle), short 432 mm chainstays, threaded BSA bottom bracket, Boost 148 x 12 rear axle, 30.9 mm seatpost, internal cable routing, 29-inch wheels and a 100 mm fork. Geometry carried over since the 2021 redesign.
