The S-Works 3.1 is an electric mountain bike mid-drive motor introduced by Specialized in April 2025 alongside the fourth-generation Turbo Levo, developed in close collaboration with Brose. It is the more powerful of the two versions of the 3.1 motor and is fitted exclusively to the S-Works Turbo Levo 4, producing 111 Nm of torque against 101 Nm for the standard Specialized 3.1. Announced with a peak power of 720 W, it was raised to 850 W in February 2026 by an over-the-air firmware update delivered through the Specialized app. It uses a torque sensor and offers the Turbo, Trail, Auto and Eco assistance modes, as well as Micro Tune, Smart Control and a walk-assist function limited to 6 km/h.
