Single-ring crankset from Apex 1, SRAM's most affordable 1x road drivetrain. Its X-Sync ring, with tall alternating teeth, holds the chain without a guide and bolts on at 110 mm to a four-arm asymmetric spider cast in one with the aluminium crank arms. SRAM offers 40, 42 and 44 teeth and arms from 165 to 175 mm, on a GXP spindle and 68 mm threaded or press-fit shells, for a 45 mm chainline compatible with 10 and 11 speeds. It clears 2 mm more per side than a conventional road crank, leaving room for wide tyres.
