8-speed internal gear hub launched by SRAM in 2013, the first product of its new IGH strategy to replace the i-Motion 9. Descended from the Sachs Torpedo line (whose bicycle division SRAM took over in 1997) and made in Schweinfurt, it uses far simpler and lighter internals than the i-Motion 9. Gear range of about 260% (259.7%) in even steps, 36-spoke shell. Available in coaster brake, disc brake and freewheel versions. Designed for urban use without steep gradients. Approximate years 2013-2016.
