3-speed internal gear hub, a modernised version of the classic Sachs-Torpedo 3-speed hub that SRAM inherited when it bought Sachs in 1997. Made in Schweinfurt (the former Sachs plant), it carries over the planetary architecture of the Torpedo Dreigang with a 186% range (36% steps), in a sturdy steel shell, and can be shifted at a standstill or under load. Offered in coaster brake, disc brake and rim brake (freewheel) versions, with a SRAM twist grip featuring a large indicator. Discontinuation announced in 2017. Approximate years 2006-2017.
