Larry is one of the fat bike tyres that made the 26x3.8 format mainstream, alongside the Surly Nate, Bud and Lou. Its dart-shaped knobs, about 4.5 mm tall, are spaced by small intermediate domes that trade traction against controlled drift on snow, sand and soft mud. It came in two casings, a 120 TPI folding version rated 1256 g and a 27 TPI wire-bead version at over 1500 g. The model has left the Surly catalogue.
