Elite X2

The Elite X2 is the lighter road version of Thomson's threadless stem, CNC-machined from one piece of 7000-series aluminium with no welds in the USA. Its interlocking faceplate design allows a two-bolt clamp that Thomson states is as torsionally stiff as a conventional four-bolt design while saving about 20 g. It clamps 31.8 mm bars on a 1-1/8 inch steerer and is reversible, offered in +/-10 and +/-17 degree versions. Weight is roughly 131 g at 70 mm and 147 g at 100 mm.
