The Masterpiece is the flagship, cult-status seatpost from L.H. Thomson, CNC-machined from a single billet of high-strength 7000-series aluminium in Macon, Georgia (USA). Tube and head are machined integrally from one piece, so the head is neither pressed nor bonded, giving it a reputation for near-indestructible strength at minimal weight: about 40 g lighter than the equivalent Elite thanks to more aggressive machining of non-critical material (roughly 195 g in 27.2 x 330 mm). The distinctive twin-bolt head offers infinite tilt adjustment with captive hardware and accepts standard 7 mm round rails, with an accessory kit for oversized rails. Offered in straight (0 mm) and 16 mm setback versions.
