The HPR120S is TQ's original high-performance mid-drive motor, unveiled on the Haibike Flyon around 2019. With 120 Nm of torque, an 843 W peak and 250 W of continuous power (25 km/h Pedelec version at 48 V), it was among the most powerful drive units on the market. Its aerospace-derived Harmonic Pin Ring transmission, housed in a round 144 mm casing, also came in S-Pedelec (45 km/h) and 75 km/h versions. Powerful but heavy (3.9 kg for the motor unit alone) and noisy, it foreshadowed the refined technology of the HPR50 and HPR60.
