The EVO 12 rear derailleur is the centrepiece of the brand's first complete 12-speed mechanical mountain bike groupset, launched in March 2023 as a deliberate, cable-actuated alternative to the electronic drivetrains dominating the market. Building on the lessons of the earlier TR12, it pairs a carbon-fibre outer cage with the signature Hall Lock, a lever that rigidly clamps the B-knuckle to the derailleur hanger so the mech stays put through repeated impacts. Its headline addition is an instant, silent clutch that damps chain movement without the rattle of earlier designs, working alongside a horizontal four-bar linkage and 12- and 14-tooth sealed-bearing pulley wheels. A quick cage-release makes wheel and tyre changes easier. Designed around the brand's own 10-52t, 12-speed cassette for a wide 520% range, the roughly 300g mech is aimed at trail, enduro and gravity riders who want the tunability and field-serviceability of a mechanical system.
