TRP hybrid caliper introduced in 2013: a cable-operated road lever pulls an arm on the caliper, which houses its own master cylinder and reservoir and then pushes the pads hydraulically. The input is therefore mechanical and short-pull, plugging into existing Shimano and SRAM road levers, while the internal open system automatically compensates for pad wear. The fluid is TRP/Tektro mineral oil, the caliper has two pistons and weighs 205 g. It exists as a post mount and as a flat mount version, the latter needing the FF-5 adapter at the front.
