Introduced in September 2022 for the 2023 model years, the PWseries S2 is Yamaha's versatile mid-drive motor. With 75 Nm of torque (+7% compared with the PW-ST) for only 2.85 kg (-16%) and a volume reduced by 20%, it claims one of the best torque-to-weight ratios in its category. Its Automatic Support Mode picks the assistance level on its own according to conditions: setting off, accelerating, braking, flat or climbing.
