Carbon wheelset unveiled in late 2016, whose undulating Sawtooth rim was Zipp's first exercise in biomimicry: a row of Hyperfoil nodes inspired by humpback whale fins makes the depth vary between 53 and 58 mm, working with HexFin dimples to cut drag and side force at once. It carries over the Showstopper brake track, printed ImPress graphics and the Cognition hubset with Axial Clutch, laced with Sapim CX-Ray. Zipp quotes 690 g front and 835 g rear on a rim 17 mm wide internally. This is the rim-brake version, which preceded the disc-brake 454 NSW.
