82 mm tubular that introduced the Firecrest profile to the 808, the depth that built Zipp's reputation in time trials and triathlon before it reached the road peloton. Widened to 27.5 mm, it is billed by Zipp as the fastest front wheel it had tested, 15 seconds quicker over 40 km than the previous generation and with crosswind manners closer to a far shallower rim. The 2013 model year weighs 1,565 g per pair on 88/188 hubs and moves to an 11-speed freehub, with a choice of Beyond Black or Classic White decals.
