Modolo
Italian brake specialist founded in 1952 by Adamo Modolo in Santa Lucia di Piave (later Conegliano), Veneto. Originally a maker of steel parts and brake levers for post-war bicycles, Modolo moved into high-end racing components in 1976 when Domenico Modolo designed the Professional side-pull brake. Through the late 1970s and 1980s the firm became a benchmark for premium Italian aftermarket brakes, culminating in the ultralight aero Kronos with its hidden cable routing.
