The Modolo Sporting is an Italian single-pivot side-pull rim brake, listed by VeloBase with 'Modolo Sporting' marked on the front of the arm and a quick release with cable stop. Within the Modolo range it was the most affordable offering, aimed at recreational riders, supplied with forged, bright silver oxidised calipers, rubber brake pads and non-anatomical cushioned rubber hoods, packaged in a plastic box. Modolo's 1986 factory price list placed it among the cheapest brake sets in the catalogue, at 31,580 lire. Period vintage dealers date the model to the 1970s-1980s.
