Pélissier

Pélissier was an old and respected French hub-maker, said by period enthusiasts to have once made the best racing hubs in Europe. Its link to the famous racing Pélissier brothers (Henri, winner of the 1923 Tour de France; Francis; Charles) is treated by historians as a probable namesake rather than proven ownership, with one theory pointing instead to an Etablissements Pélissier of Saint-Etienne. In the early 1970s the brand was absorbed by Perrin (Perrin & Courson), tied to Maillard, so 1970s Pélissier hubs were in fact manufactured by Perrin/Maillard while keeping the prestigious Pélissier name.
