The Pélissier 2000 Professional was the top-of-the-line Pélissier race hub of the mid-1970s, running sealed annular ball bearings and sought after by time-trialists. Velo-Orange calls it 'the legendary model 2000', with one French expert quoted as saying 'those are the best hubs ever'. Bodies are marked 'Pélissier 2000, Made in France' (occasionally 'Perrin'), reflecting that Perrin/Maillard actually built them by then. It was offered in high- and low-flange versions with English, French or Italian threading for a screw-on freewheel.
