Presented in 2018, the Drive S Mag is the flagship motor of the Berlin drive manufacturer Brose. Its magnesium housing saves around 500 g compared with the aluminium version, for 2.9 kg in total. Inside, a belt drive with a double freewheel - inherited from Brose's automotive expertise - makes it remarkably quiet and removes any pedalling resistance above 25 km/h or with the motor switched off. With 90 Nm of torque and up to 410% assistance (Flex Power mode adjusting the power according to torque and cadence in real time), it is above all the motor that powers the Specialized Turbo Levo in a customised version (Specialized 2.2).
