The Cosmic Carbone is Mavic's long-running aero road wheelset, and this SL iteration captures the concept at its peak: a deep 52 mm rim bonding a 12K carbon fairing to a Maxtal aluminium structure with a full aluminium UB Control braking track, giving riders carbon-deep aerodynamics together with the dependable braking and everyday durability of an alloy clincher. Bladed straight-pull spokes (16 front, 20 rear) kept it stiff and fast, making the Cosmic Carbone a staple of the fast group-ride and time-trial scene through the 2000s and early 2010s.
