Mavic's first aerodynamic clincher wheel-tyre system, the Cosmic Carbone SLR wraps a 12K carbon fairing around a 52 mm Maxtal aluminium rim whose braking surface gets the Exalith treatment. Its R2R carbon spokes run from rim to rim, halving the number of spoke ends for a cleaner airflow. It weighs 1,595 g per pair without tyres and is sold as a system with Yksion GripLink and PowerLink tyres.
