The Cosmic Pro Carbon SL C is the 2016 all-carbon clincher aero road wheelset in Mavic's Cosmic range, built around a 40 mm NACA-profile rim with a carbon braking track. It introduced Mavic's iTgMax carbon process, combining a resin with a high glass transition temperature with a patented laser-treated braking track to improve heat management and wet-weather braking on carbon rims. The rim bed is moulded in one piece with a continuous carbon layer, so the fibres are neither machined nor cut after moulding. It was sold as a wheel-tyre system with 25 mm Yksion Pro GripLink and PowerLink clincher tyres.
