DT Swiss
DT Swiss AG is a Swiss component manufacturer based in Biel/Bienne, created in 1994 by a management buy-out of a local wire works whose spoke production it continued; the initials stand for Drahtwerke Tréfileries. Its range covers spokes and nipples, rims, hubs and complete wheels, as well as suspension forks, rear shocks and dropper posts. Its hubs use the Ratchet System, a face-ratchet freehub mechanism whose licence was acquired in 1995 and which was later revised as Ratchet EXP. The company is still held by its founding shareholders and also owns the German brake manufacturer Trickstuff.
